Add a Device or Another Home
Use this guide if you already have a FlowCue account and want to add another device or set up FlowCue at another property.
Only a home owner can add a device or home. These options appear when you tap the plus (+) icon at the top of the dashboard.
Before You Begin
Have the following ready:
- The new FlowCue device and its QR code
- Power and Wi-Fi available at the water meter location
- Your phone with the FlowCue app
Stay near the device until Wi-Fi setup is complete.
Add a Device to Your Current Home
Choose Add Device when you are adding another FlowCue device to the home currently selected in the app—for example, for another water meter at the same property.
- If you manage more than one home, select the home where the new device will be installed.
- On the dashboard, tap the plus (+) icon and choose Add Device.
- Confirm that power and Wi-Fi are available at the meter, then tap Continue.
- Scan the QR code on the new FlowCue device.
- Follow the in-app prompts to install the device, connect it to Wi-Fi, take a meter photo, choose or measure the water meter model, and complete calibration.
When setup is complete, the new device will appear under the selected home.
Add Another Home
Choose Add Home when the device will be installed at a different property, such as a cottage or rental home.
- On the dashboard, tap the plus (+) icon and choose Add Home.
- On the Add New Home screen, tap Continue.
- Scan the QR code on the new FlowCue device.
- Tap Continue, enter a name for the new home, then continue.
- Follow the in-app prompts for the meter photo, meter setup, device installation, Wi-Fi setup, and calibration.
When setup is complete, you can switch between homes in the FlowCue app.
Which Option Should I Choose?
- Choose Add Device for an additional meter at a home already in your account.
- Choose Add Home for a device at a separate property.
If you are replacing an existing device at the same meter, use Replace Your FlowCue Device instead.
If you cannot find the Add Device or Add Home options, make sure you are signed in as a home owner.
