Measure Consumption

Use Measure Consumption to measure how much water is used during a specific activity, such as a shower, a washing-machine cycle, or watering a garden. FlowCue tracks all water passing through the selected meter from the moment you start the session until you finish it.

At the end of the session, FlowCue shows:

• Total water used, in litres
• Average flow rate, in litres per minute
• Session duration

This is useful for understanding how much water a particular activity uses. It does not change your meter setup or FlowCue calibration, and normal water monitoring continues while the session is running.

Before You Begin

• Select the home and device you want to measure if you have more than one.
• Make sure the FlowCue device is online.
• If you are measuring one activity, avoid running other water in the home during the session. The result includes all water that passes through the selected meter.

Start a Measurement

1. On the dashboard, tap the Device actions icon at the top of the screen.
2. Tap Measure Consumption.
3. Tap Start Measurement.
4. Wait until the app confirms that the measurement session is running, then begin the activity you want to measure.

Finish and View the Result

1. When the activity is complete, return to Measure Consumption.
2. Tap Finish Measurement.
3. Wait for FlowCue to show the total water used, average flow rate, and duration.

You can tap Start New Session to measure another activity, or Close when you are finished.

Leave the App While Measuring

The measurement continues in the background if you close the screen. While it is active, the water-drop icon at the top of the dashboard lets you return to the session and finish it.
