WiFi Setup Troubleshootiong

If your Flow device can’t connect to Wi-Fi during setup, try the steps below.

1. Confirm your Wi-Fi password

Make sure you are entering the correct password.

2. Improve signal at the meter location

Flow needs a good Wi-Fi signal where the sensor is installed.

Try:

  • Moving your router slightly closer
  • Repositioning the router (higher = better)
  • Using a Wi-Fi extender or mesh point
  • Checking that your phone can successfully connect to your home Wi-Fi at the water meter location

Signal below –70 dBm may cause setup or connectivity issues.

3. Check for flashing blue light

During Wi-Fi setup, the Flow device should display a flashing blue LED.

If the light is not flashing:

  • Press and hold the device button for 10 seconds
  • Release when the LED begins flashing again

A flashing blue light indicates the device is ready to connect to Wi-Fi.
