Change or Update Wi-Fi Network

You may need to update your Flow device’s Wi-Fi connection if you:

  • Changed your Wi-Fi name (SSID) or password
  • Replaced or reset your router
  • Moved the device to a new location
  • See a “Device Offline” message in the app after a network change

This guide walks you through reconnecting your Flow device to a new Wi-Fi network using the Flow app.

Before You Begin

Before continuing, put the device into Wi-Fi setup mode:

  • Press and hold the device’s setup button for about 3 seconds
  • Release the button once the device LED starts blinking blue

When the LED is blinking blue, the device is ready for Wi-Fi network setup.

Reconnecting the Device to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the Flow app
  2. If you have more than one home or device, select the home and device you want to update
  3. Open the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen and tap Device Wi-Fi Setup
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to find available Wi-Fi networks
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted
  6. Wait for confirmation that the device is back online

This process usually takes less than a few minutes.

After Reconnection

Once the device reconnects:

  • The device status should update to Online
  • Consumption data will begin appearing again
  • Alerts and notifications will resume

Having Trouble?

If you’re unable to reconnect:

  • Make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong at the installation location
  • Double-check the network password
  • Restart your router and try again
